On September 30, 2003 the City of Clintonville finalized approvals for Tax Increment District #6. This District is exclusively the Seagrave Inc property located on East 12th Street. The TIF was created to facilitate an expansion of the company’s manufacturing facility. The plans include a new 130,000 square foot manufacturing building. The City will negotiate a developer’s agreement with Seagrave to outline the type of financing the City will contribute. Over the next two to three years the company will likely increase its employment by 100-200 people. Seagrave was sold in May, 2003 to a group of investors from the Pennsylvania area and Jim Hebe the new CEO. The City greatly appreciates the commitment that Seagrave has made to Clintonville by expanding here.
