The Clintonville Area Waste Service is operated under a 66.30 agreement between the City of Clintonville, Town of Larrabee and the Town of Matteson. The residents of these three municipalities may bring their garbage and recyclables to the site for disposal. The City of Clintonville also has a curbside solid waste and recycling program
CAWS Hours
When disposing of garbage, it must be in clear plastic garbage bags not to exceed 30 gallons or 27 lbs. and must be tagged with an green CAWS sticker. It is the policy of the CAWS Board that NO cash be accepted at the site. We do not have the facility to protect the cash. Checks will be accepted for the amount of purchase only. The purchase of CAWS stickers are available at the following locations: Clintonville City Hall, Econofoods, Northside Plaza, The R-Store and Pamida. The stickers are sold in sheets of 5 for $7.00 ($1.40 each).
The Clintonville Area Waste Service Board consists of six members, two from each of the participating municipalities. The purpose of the CAWS Board is to insure the residents of those municipalities have a source for disposal of their garbage at the Clintonville Area Waste Service. The CAWS Board meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30PM. The meeting is held at City Hall. Current members of the CAWS Board:
